Easy to make Mini Albums

Here are two examples of fairly easy-to-make mini albums. I got the idea and inspiration from a scrap-a-long I was part of in March. I loved making them, and I will make more, for sure.
The first phot is of the album I made while following the scra-a-long, while the sunflower one was made afterwards.
Here are some photoes of what the albums look like inside:
And a few showing the sunflower one, where I have tried to make the beautiful Maja design papers shine.
And lastly, a photo of the two fronts alongside each other.😊

For a Diva! (Til en Diva!)

This is another card that I made for the Spring Scrap-meet at Bikuben. The challenge for this card was to watch a given youtube tutorial and make a similar card. I watched the tutorial, but chose to follow a Mixed Up Craft tutorial for a more elaborate card of the same style. Mixed Up Craft calls it a "Flip Flap Card".
When you pull a tab, the card opens and reveals the inside of the card. For this card I have chosen to use two stamp-sets from the Norwegian company Kort & Godt. I used the Diva-images, colored with coloring pencils, as well as the sentiments from these sets.

Quick and Simple: Easel Cards

Lately I have been in need of making cards that are quick and simple. I haven´t made more than a few easel cards before, but I remembered that they are fairly straight-forward cards. Therefore I have gone for easel cards twice recently, for cards I needed done quickly. I must admit, though, that the actual process of making the easel-mechanism is quick and simple, the decorating - not so much so.🫣 The first card, "Bon Voyage" challenged me somewhat when I tried to decide what to put behind the wheel of the VW Beetle. I had made the actual Beetle some time ago, when I first bought the dies, and I have had it sitting on my desk reminding me to use it for something. SO when I took part in a Challenge called "Vehicles", I thought it was a perfect fit. I didn´t for the life of me think that it would be so hard to find something to fit inside the car! When I initially made the car, I had thought that I would build some sort of critter-scene around it, but then, when I was actually making the card, I couldn´t find any critters that were suitable.😂 Instead I found a freebie online, that I scaled down and colored in. I adjusted the background to suit the new drivers.
My second card is a confirmation card for the son of some of my sister´s friends. I was told that the card needed to show that it was a card for a gamer. I immidiately had some concern. #1 I don´t really make confirmation cards, and #2 I don´t have a lot of confirmation stamps and dies that can be used for a gamer. To solve my concerns I needed to ask a few vital questions. Is he a computer-gamer, or a consol-gamer? What games does he like to play, and so on. The answers I was given was that he is a computer-gamer and that he is a big fan of "Terraria". My immediate thought was; "good, he only plays one game!" I had, however, never heard of the game Terraria.🫣 Thank goodness for Google, Etsy and Pinterest! The image I chose was fairly large, and to accomadate the size I ended up with a large easel card. Since I don´t know the game, I hope that the image is recognizable to Terraria fans. To make it into a confirmation card, I added a teenager, the necessary wording, and his name. As the easel-stopper I chose a picture of one of the characters, "Ash".

Pinwheel Shaker Cards

In late March, I attended another digital scrapping weekend hosted by Bikuben.com As always they had scrap-a-longs, and one of them was about "Pinwheel Cards". I had bought a Pinwheel Card-kit in advance, and was eager to learn how to make a card that I had yet to try out making.
The first two photos of this post, is of a card I made a few weeks after the scrap-a-long. I made it on comission for my sister, who asked if I could make a card for a one-year old. I picked out some subtle papers in pinks and other pastels, and on the front I decorated with a small round shaker, and some adorable hand colored mice from Lawn Fawn. On the back of the card I placed the Happy Birthday greeting, or "Gratulerer med Dagen" in Norwegian. I also put the name of the one-year old on the back. I attached everything to a paper-straw that I had painted pink.
My second Pinwheel Shaker is a celebration of bees called "Bee Creative". I made this during the scrapping weekend, just because I found the card really fun to make. I have used the Graphic 45 collection Let it Bee, added a hexagon shaker element and some cute wooden bees. The straw of this one is painted black.
On the back of the Bee Creative Card, I added a text that I thought suited the card perfectly. It says: "Even Busy Bees Stop and Smell the Flowers".
The third and last card of this post is the original scrap-a-long Pinwheel Shaker. The scrap-a-long was right before Easter, therefore it has an Easter theme. The shaker element is an egg, and the text says "Happy Easter".

Cards using previously made alcohol ink backgrounds

Ok, here is just a quick post showing 4 cards I have made using 4 of the alcohol ink backgrounds that I showed in my last post. The first card is using a complete background. It´s made for a challenge called "Rainbows". I have titled the card "You are completely Unique".
The second card is called "Lykke", or happiness in English. This is for another challenge which asked that at least 3 circles were used. On this card I have cut into the background, but made the alcohol pieces the main elements on my card.
The 3rd card is a thank you card. Again I have kept it really simple and just die-cut the word "thanks" with a shadow.
The forth, and last card, is called "Hello, you are fabulous". Here I die-cut the word "Hello" from the background before I die-cutting a panel from the rest. I have layered the card with white on matching green. The word "Hello" is attached to vellum, and the "you are fabulous" is heat embossed and attached to the vellum as well. I have finished the card off with some die-cut twigs.

Easy Fold-Over Cards

Lately I have been hooked on making a simple fold-over card, that you can easily make into a gift card/tag-pocket card. Once again...
