Geometric No Glue Gift Boxes
A couple of weeks ago the Paper Pixie shared some adorable gift boxes that requires no glue. They are not exactly my cup of te to make, as they have some fold lines/score lines that does not fold too easily. But I gave them a try, and I liked them enought to make them in several colors.
They do hold together quite nicely without a fastening mechanism, however, they look a lot better if fastened with for instance a small magnet or velcroe dot.
I varied my decoration on the boxes, made some in a Christmas theme, and some in a floral theme.
I love the look of these boxes! A paper crafting friend of mine even wanted to turn them into small log cabins, as the shape of them clearly suggests this!
If you are curious of how to make this box, I have enclosed the Paper Pixie´s tutorial below.

Today's post features another Card Gift Box (card measurements: 4 1/8"x 5 1/2" - 10,5cm x 14cm)! All the cards included in the set say "There's Only One Like You" on them and I have called the set "Just a Note". The box is inspired by one of the recent thepaperpixie.com´s tutorials (see her tutorial at the bottom of this post).
I have made a Card Gift Box before as well, shared in a post called Smil, but that was a totally different looking box, with different sized cards and envelopes (card measurements: 5" x 4 1/4" - ca. 12,5 x 10,5cm).
The Card Gift Boxes are part of my Love Box Series (The Love Box Series), which I am trying to expand over time.
I thought that Gift Boxes with blank cards would be a great gift for someone in these strenuous times in which we don't get to visit with our friends and family and other loved ones.

Kit in a Box
| Collection of Kit in Box boxes |
Once again inspired by the Paper Pixie´s creativity, I have made yet another box, this time the box she calls the Essential Kit in a Box on her blog, thepaperpixie.com.
The box measures about 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1" (11x6x2,5cm), and is made to hold an "essential" kit. The box is made with three compartments, in which you can put whatever fits. However, the Paper Pixie designed it to hold an anti-bacterial hand gel from the Bath and Body Works (a store I SOOO wish we had here in Norway!!), a lip-balm and a box of Altoids. Luckily I have some Bath and Body Works anti-bac´s lying around since my last few trips to the US, however some of them have a different design than the ones she made the box for, and they won't fit into the inserts that she gives the description on how to make. Therefore I had to tweak the compartments a bit on some of the boxes.
The Box, and the inserts for the compartments are all made from a piece of card stock measuring
8 1/2 " x 11". If you decide to adjust the compartments to fit something else, though, you are going to need more card stock. In addition to the base of the box and the compartments you are also going to need some decorative paper to make the box-topper from.
I have varied my decoration greatly, but essentially I have used die-cuts and layered them, embellished with some pearls/gems, and finished it off with a small bow.
